Over the last few years, there has been a big push towards co-teaching.  Research has shown that co-teaching can provide professional growth for teachers as well as improved instruction for students.  Co-teaching can manifest itself in many ways and with many different professionals in the mix.  This course will explore the different co-teaching models and provide helpful strategies for implementing each model.  We will explore several co-teaching relationships including working with a Special Education teacher, Technology specialist, Speech-Language Pathologist, OT, PT, Paraeducator, Gifted Specialist, Literacy Specialist, and an ELL Specialist.

This course is appropriate for both general education and special education teachers of students in grades K-12 and is worth 45 hours of professional development.
